Crop Image cuts a rectangle out of a picture using four numbers you type: X and Y for the top-left corner, plus width and height, all in pixels. The cropped part is saved as a PNG in your browser.

Instead of dragging a box by hand, this crop tool works with exact pixel values. That makes it repeatable: you can cut the same area from several screenshots, or hit a required size such as 600 × 600 precisely.

When you load an image, the fields start at X 0, Y 0 and the picture's full width and height. Measure from the top-left corner: X counts pixels to the right, Y counts pixels down.

  1. Load the picture

    Upload the image; the fields fill in with its full size, so you can see its width and height.

  2. Enter the crop box

    Type X and Y for where the crop starts, then the width and height you want to keep.

  3. Crop

    Press Run Crop Image and check the preview.

  4. Download

    Save the PNG, which is named with -crop at the end.

For a 4000 × 3000 photo, X 500, Y 0, width 3000, height 3000 gives a centred square.
Same crop on a series
Because the values stay typed in, you can apply an identical crop to several images from the same camera or app.

Example: a 1080 × 2400 phone screenshot

To remove the status bar and keep the middle of the screen, enter X 0, Y 100, width 1080, height 1600. The result is a 1080 × 1600 PNG showing pixels 100 to 1699 from the top.

Where do X and Y start?

At the top-left corner of the image. X is the distance in pixels from the left edge, Y the distance from the top.

How do I find the right numbers?

The fields first show the full width and height. Work out the part you want from those, or open the picture in View Image Metadata to see its size. A quick trial crop and a look at the preview also helps.

Can I drag a box with the mouse?

Not in this tool; it uses typed coordinates for precision. Round Image and Resize Image can also trim images automatically to a circle or a fixed shape.

Why are there transparent bars on my crop?

The box went beyond the edge of the image. Make sure X plus width is not more than the image width, and Y plus height is not more than its height.

Is the image uploaded for cropping?

No. The crop is drawn on a canvas inside your browser, and the picture stays on your device.
