EPS to JPG renders an EPS file at 200 DPI with ImageMagick and Ghostscript on our server, paints any transparent areas white and saves a JPG. JPG is accepted almost everywhere, but it has no transparency and compresses with slight loss.
Choose JPG over PNG when the destination is fussy: upload forms, online marketplaces or email programs that only accept JPG, or when you need a small file. For logos with flat colours, or when you want to keep a see-through background, EPS to PNG keeps edges cleaner.
On our server Ghostscript interprets the PostScript and ImageMagick turns it into a 200 DPI image. Because JPG cannot hold transparency, the converter fills empty areas with white and flattens the picture (-background white -flatten) before saving, so a logo without its own background lands on a clean white page. The file arrives over HTTPS and is deleted with every intermediate copy afterwards.

White. JPG has no transparency, so the converter paints every empty area white before it saves. If you need a coloured or see-through background, convert with EPS to PNG and add the colour in your editor.

It is rendered at 200 DPI, so a 5-inch-wide design becomes about 1000 pixels wide.
