Convert EPS PostScript to PNG.
EPS to PNG renders an EPS (Encapsulated PostScript) file into a PNG image at 200 DPI on our server, using ImageMagick with Ghostscript as the PostScript interpreter. You get a picture that any phone, browser or slide program can show, with transparency kept where the EPS has nothing behind the art.
EPS files are common in stock-vector downloads, old logo packs and printing work, yet ordinary computers and phones cannot open them. Rendering to PNG gives you something you can look at, post or put into Word or PowerPoint.
Ghostscript interprets the PostScript and ImageMagick saves the picture at 200 DPI (the command is convert -density 200), which means a 1-inch-wide drawing becomes 200 pixels wide. That is plenty for screens and documents; for large prints, keep the EPS and give the printer the original. The EPS is sent over HTTPS and our server erases it, with the PNG, once you have the result.

200 DPI. A logo that is 2 inches wide in the EPS becomes 400 pixels wide, which is sharp on screens and fine for documents.
Yes, if the EPS has nothing drawn behind the artwork. PNG stores transparency, so those empty areas stay see-through. If the designer placed a filled rectangle behind the logo, that rectangle appears in the PNG too.
If the EPS uses a font that is not embedded and not installed on our server, Ghostscript substitutes a similar font. Ask for an EPS with text converted to outlines to avoid this.
No. It is processed in a temporary directory and removed straight after the PNG is delivered.
