This tool turns a PNG image into a JPG file inside your browser, so the picture never leaves your device. Transparent parts of the PNG become white, because the JPG format cannot store transparency.
PNG keeps every pixel exactly and supports see-through backgrounds, which makes it great for logos and screenshots but heavy for photos. JPG throws away detail the eye barely notices, so the same photo is often five to ten times smaller as a JPG, which matters when a form, a website or a WhatsApp group has a size limit.
The conversion runs on your own computer or phone using the browser's built-in image engine, at 92% JPG quality. That is high enough that most people cannot see a difference, while still cutting the file size a lot.

Example: a 4 MB phone screenshot
A full-screen phone screenshot saved as PNG is often 2 to 4 MB. Converted here, the JPG is usually between 300 KB and 800 KB, small enough for most upload forms. The exact size depends on how much fine detail the picture has.
No. The conversion happens inside your browser using your device's own image engine, so the PNG and the JPG stay on your device.
JPG files cannot store transparency, so every see-through pixel needs a colour. This tool uses white, which looks right on most documents and websites. If you need to keep transparency, keep the PNG or convert to WEBP instead.
Usually not noticeably. The JPG is saved at 92% quality, which keeps photos sharp. Sharp-edged graphics such as text or line drawings can show faint blur around edges; for those, PNG stays the better format.
For photos and screenshots, the JPG is often 5 to 10 times smaller than the PNG. Simple graphics with large flat colour areas may shrink less, and occasionally a tiny PNG is already smaller than its JPG.
No. The JPG has exactly the same width and height as your PNG. To make it smaller in pixels too, use the Image Resizer after converting.
It is free with no sign-up, no watermark and no limit on how many images you convert one after another.
