SVG to PNG renders a vector SVG file into a PNG image at a scale you choose, from 0.5× to 8× (2× to start). The transparent background is kept, and because SVG is vector, larger scales come out sharp rather than blurry.
An SVG is a set of drawing instructions, so it can be drawn at any size without losing sharpness. Many places do not accept SVG though: Facebook, WhatsApp, Word, most upload forms and many print shops want a normal picture such as PNG.
The base size comes from the SVG's width and height attributes, or from its viewBox if those are missing; if neither exists, 1024 × 1024 is used. The scale multiplies that base, so a 300 × 100 logo at 4× becomes a 1200 × 400 PNG.
Choose the SVG
Click the upload box and pick a .svg file.
Set the output scale
Move the slider from 0.5× to 8× in half steps; 1× is the SVG's own size.
Render
Press Run SVG to PNG; the browser draws the vector onto a canvas.
Download
Save the PNG, which keeps the SVG's file name.
Example: a 24 × 24 icon at 8×
An icon with width and height 24 rendered at 8× produces a 192 × 192 PNG with crisp edges and a transparent background.
2× is a good default for screens. For print, work out the pixels you need: a logo 5 cm wide at 300 DPI needs about 590 pixels, so a 300-pixel-wide SVG at 2× is enough.
Yes, unless the SVG itself draws a background shape. Empty areas stay transparent in the PNG.
If the SVG relies on a font that is linked from the web or not installed on your device, the browser substitutes another. Converting text to outlines in your design app before exporting the SVG avoids this.
The SVG may give its size in percent or centimetres, which the tool reads as a plain number. Check the result and adjust the scale, or edit the SVG so width and height are in pixels.
No. Your browser reads the SVG and draws it locally; the file stays on your device.
