VSDX to JPG converts a Visio .vsdx file to PDF with LibreOffice and then renders each page as a JPG at 150 DPI with pdftoppm, all on our server. A single-page diagram returns one JPG; a multi-page file returns a ZIP of numbered JPGs.

An image is the easiest way to drop a diagram into a WhatsApp chat, a PowerPoint slide, a Facebook post or a Word document. This tool does the conversion in two steps: LibreOffice turns the Visio drawing into a PDF, then pdftoppm draws every page as a 150 DPI JPG.

150 DPI means an A4 page becomes roughly 1240 by 1754 pixels, which reads well on screens and in documents. Uploads go over HTTPS; the .vsdx, the intermediate PDF and the JPGs are deleted from our server once your download is sent.

Why did I get a ZIP instead of a JPG?

Your Visio file has more than one page. Each page becomes its own JPG, and they are bundled into a ZIP so you download them together. Unzip it to see page-1.jpg, page-2.jpg and so on.

What resolution are the images?

150 DPI. An A4-sized page comes out at about 1240 by 1754 pixels.

The small labels are hard to read. What can I do?

Use VSDX to PDF instead: the PDF keeps text as vectors, so you can zoom in without blur. Or enlarge the label text in Visio before converting.

Can I convert old .vsd files to JPG?

This page accepts .vsdx only. Convert a .vsd to PDF with the VSD to PDF tool, then use a PDF to JPG tool.

Is my diagram stored?

No. The Visio file, the in-between PDF and the images all sit in one short-lived working folder, which our server deletes after sending your download.
