AZW3 to PDF takes a DRM-free AZW3 Kindle file and has Calibre, running on our server, render it as a PDF. The book gets fixed pages, so you can print it, share it with non-Kindle readers or read it on a computer without a Kindle app.

AZW3 files usually come from Calibre libraries, self-publishing tools or authors who send review copies for Kindle. Outside the Kindle world they are hard to open: most phones, laptops and printers have no idea what to do with them.

Converting to PDF lays the book out on regular pages using Calibre's default page settings. Headings, chapters and images normally survive. Books bought from the Kindle store are DRM-protected and cannot be converted.

Why did my Kindle book fail to convert?

Books bought from Amazon carry DRM copy protection, and this tool does not remove it. Only DRM-free AZW3 files, such as those from authors or your own Calibre library, convert.

Do my Kindle highlights come along?

No. Highlights and notes are stored by your Kindle account, not inside the book file, so the PDF has only the book text.

Is the conversion done in my browser?

No, on our server. The AZW3 travels over HTTPS, Calibre writes the PDF into a throwaway work area, and we clear that area out once your download has started.

Can I choose the page size?

Not here. The free Calibre desktop app lets you choose paper size, margins and fonts if you need specific settings.

Is AZW3 the same as AZW?

Not exactly. AZW is an older name often used for protected MOBI-style files; AZW3 is the newer KF8 format. This tool accepts .azw3 files.
