EPS to PDF converts an Encapsulated PostScript (.eps) file into a PDF with Ghostscript's pdfwrite device on our server. Vector artwork such as logos stays sharp at any zoom, and the PDF opens in any browser or PDF reader without design software.
Designers and printing presses often hand over logos and print artwork as EPS. Most people cannot open those files without Adobe Illustrator or similar software, which makes it hard to check a logo, show it to a client or send it to a printer who wants PDF.
Ghostscript, the standard PostScript interpreter, reads the EPS on our server and writes a PDF. Vector lines and text stay as vectors, so the result prints crisply at any size. Ghostscript places the artwork on a standard page, so a small logo may appear with white space around it.

No, as long as it was vector artwork in the EPS. Ghostscript keeps vector shapes as vectors in the PDF. If the EPS only wrapped a photo, the PDF keeps that photo at its original resolution.
Ghostscript puts the EPS on a full standard page rather than cropping to the artwork's bounding box. Use Crop PDF afterwards to trim the margins.
On our server. The file is uploaded over HTTPS, Ghostscript writes the PDF into a temporary space, and both copies are removed right after the PDF is sent to you.
The EPS referred to a font without embedding it, so Ghostscript used a substitute. Ask the designer to convert text to outlines or embed fonts when exporting.
