GIF to PDF places GIF images into a PDF, one per page; for an animated GIF only the first frame is used. Each frame is stored as a lossless PNG, so simple graphics, logos and old scanned GIFs keep their exact colours.

GIF is an old format still found in archives, early websites, simple logos, diagrams and some scanned forms from older systems. When those images need to go into a report or onto paper, a PDF is the practical container.

PDF pages are static, so an animation cannot come along. Your browser opens the GIF, the first frame is drawn and saved as PNG, and that frame becomes the page. If you need a different frame, take a screenshot of it and use PNG to PDF instead.

    Choose one or several .gif images.

  2. Order and page size

    Use the arrows to order them and pick A4, Letter or Auto (image size). Auto suits small GIFs, which would otherwise sit small in the middle of an A4 page.

  3. Create and download

    Press Run and save images.pdf.

Will my animated GIF move in the PDF?

No. PDF pages cannot play animation, so the first frame of the GIF is saved as a still image.

Can I pick a frame other than the first?

Not in this tool. Pause the GIF on the frame you want, take a screenshot, and convert that screenshot with PNG to PDF.

Why does my GIF look small on the page?

Images are never stretched beyond their own size, to keep them sharp. A 300-pixel GIF fills only about half the width of an A4 page. Choose Auto (image size) to make the page fit the picture.

Do the colours change?

No. The frame is stored losslessly as PNG, so the GIF's colours appear exactly as before.

Are the files uploaded?

No. Your browser opens the GIFs and builds the PDF on your own device.
