MS Outlook to PDF
Convert .msg/.eml to PDF.
Convert .msg/.eml to PDF.
Outlook to PDF converts a saved Outlook email (.msg) into a PDF: msgconvert first turns it into a standard email file, then LibreOffice prints it to PDF on our server. The PDF holds the message text and headers; attachments are not added as pages.
An email is often evidence: an offer letter, a client's approval, a complaint, a delivery confirmation. Keeping it as a PDF means anyone can open it without Outlook, and it can be attached to a file, printed for a meeting or submitted with an application.
When you drag an email out of desktop Outlook you get a .msg file, a Microsoft format. Our server converts it with msgconvert into a standard .eml message, and LibreOffice then renders that message as a PDF. The upload box also lists .eml, but the conversion chain is built around Outlook's .msg files.
Save the email from Outlook
In desktop Outlook, drag the message to a folder or use File > Save As to get a .msg file.
Upload the .msg file
Choose it here; it is sent to our server.
Convert
msgconvert and LibreOffice produce the PDF, usually within a minute; the limit is three minutes.
Check and keep
Confirm the sender, date and full message are visible, then save the PDF with your records.
In Outlook for Windows, drag the email from your inbox onto the desktop or a folder, or open it and choose File > Save As with the type Outlook Message Format. Outlook on the web and the mobile app do not create .msg files; use their Print > Save as PDF option instead.
No. The PDF contains the email itself. Open the attachments in Outlook and save or convert them separately if you need them.
No. The .msg is sent over HTTPS, converted in a temporary folder, and that folder, with your email and the intermediate files, is deleted once the PDF is returned.
The tool's first step expects an Outlook .msg, so .eml files may fail. For Gmail, opening the message and using Print > Save as PDF in the browser is the simplest route.
The headers and text will be there, but layout and styling may be simpler, especially for newsletters with heavy HTML design.
