PowerPoint to PDF saves .ppt and .pptx decks as PDF, one page per slide, by running LibreOffice Impress on our server. The PDF opens anywhere without PowerPoint, but animations, videos and transitions become still pages.
Sending a .pptx is risky: the person may not have PowerPoint, may open it on a phone, or may see different fonts. A PDF of the slides opens in any browser or PDF reader and looks the same as when you saved it, which is why teachers, examiners and clients often ask for it.
LibreOffice Impress on our server opens your presentation and exports every slide as a PDF page. What you see in the normal slide view is what you get; anything that moves or plays during a slideshow is captured in its final state.

No. A PDF page is a still image of the slide, so animations show in their final position and videos show as their preview frame.
No, the PDF contains the slides only. If you need notes, export them from PowerPoint as Notes Pages instead.
Decks built with fonts missing from our server get a look-alike typeface instead. Using common fonts, or embedding fonts in PowerPoint before saving, reduces this.
No. Your deck reaches us over HTTPS, sits in a scratch directory only while Impress exports it, and is erased together with the PDF copy right after you get the download.
Export them as .pptx first (Google Slides: File > Download > Microsoft PowerPoint), then convert here, or download directly as PDF from those apps.
