The page is rendered headlessly on our server. Pages requiring JavaScript may produce empty PDFs (wkhtmltopdf is WebKit-based, not Chromium).

URL to PDF fetches a public web page from the address you paste and saves it as a PDF file, using the wkhtmltopdf renderer on our server. Simple pages such as articles, notices and documentation convert well; pages that build their content with heavy JavaScript can come out blank or incomplete.

Web pages change or disappear: a job circular gets taken down after the deadline, an exam result notice is replaced, a news article is edited. A PDF copy keeps what the page said on the day you saved it, and it can be attached to an email or printed.

You only paste the link. Our server opens the page itself with wkhtmltopdf, a WebKit-based renderer, and returns the PDF named after the website's domain. Because the server, not your browser, visits the page, it sees what a logged-out visitor sees.

    Copy the full link from your browser's address bar, starting with http:// or https://.

  2. Paste it into the box

    Replace the placeholder with your link.

  3. Convert

    Our server loads the page and prints it to PDF. This can take from a few seconds up to two minutes for long pages.

  4. Check and save

    Open the PDF and confirm the content you need is there before relying on it.

Can I save a Facebook post or my bank page as PDF?

Usually not. Our server visits the link without your login, so it sees the sign-in page instead of your account. For pages behind a login, open them in your own browser and use Print, then Save as PDF.

Why is my PDF blank or missing parts?

The page probably loads its content with JavaScript after it opens. wkhtmltopdf is built on an older WebKit engine and does not run modern scripts the way Chrome does. Your browser's Print to PDF often works better for such sites.

Who visits the website, me or you?

Our server does. You send us only the link; the server fetches the page, turns it into a PDF in a temporary folder, sends it to you and deletes that temporary copy.

Can I convert a page on my local network or localhost?

No. Addresses like localhost, 192.168.x.x and 10.x.x.x are blocked for security. The page has to be reachable on the public internet.

What is the PDF file called?

It is named after the website's domain, for example www.example.com.pdf. Rename it after downloading if you save several pages from the same site.

Is there a cost?

No. URL to PDF is free, with a fair-use cap of 10 conversions every 5 minutes.
