About Loan & EMI Calculator · বিস্তারিত
Enter the loan amount, annual interest rate, term in years and an optional down payment, and the calculator shows the fixed monthly instalment (EMI), total interest and total repaid. It uses the standard reducing-balance EMI formula and can list every month's interest, principal and remaining balance.
An EMI (equated monthly instalment) stays the same every month, but what it pays for changes. Early on, most of each payment is interest on the large balance; towards the end, almost all of it reduces the principal. The amortization table makes that shift visible, which helps when you are deciding whether a shorter term or a bigger down payment is worth it.
The maths is the usual formula banks use for fixed-rate loans: EMI = L × r × (1 + r)^n ÷ ((1 + r)^n − 1), where L is the amount borrowed after the down payment, r is the annual rate divided by 12, and n is the number of months. At 0% interest it simply divides the loan by the number of months.

When it helps · কখন কাজে লাগে
- Comparing home loan offers in the UAE
- Put two banks' rates side by side on the same AED amount and term to see how much a 0.5% difference costs over 20 years.
- Car or motorbike loans in Bangladesh
- Switch to BDT and check what a 3-year or 5-year term does to the monthly instalment before signing with a lender.
- Deciding on a down payment
- Change the down payment from 10% to 20% and watch both the EMI and the total interest drop.
Example: AED 500,000 at 5.5% for 20 years
With no down payment, 500,000 AED at 5.5% a year over 240 months gives an EMI of about AED 3,439.44. Over the full term you repay about AED 825,464.77, of which roughly AED 325,464.77 is interest. In BDT, a 2,000,000 taka loan at 9% for 5 years comes to about ৳41,516.71 a month and ৳491,002.63 in interest.
