About UAE End-of-Service Gratuity · বিস্তারিত

Estimates end-of-service gratuity in AED from your monthly basic salary, years and months of service and reason for leaving. It pays 21 days of basic wage per year for the first five years and 30 days per year after that, with daily wage = basic ÷ 30 and a ceiling of 24 months' basic salary.

The calculator follows the rule set out on the page, which it attributes to Article 51 of UAE Federal Decree-Law 33 of 2021: no gratuity under one year of service, 21 days' basic pay for each of the first five years, 30 days' basic pay for each year beyond five, and a total that cannot go above two years' basic salary. Part years count proportionally, so 7 years and 6 months is treated as 7.5 years.

Only basic salary goes in. Housing, transport and other allowances are left out, because the formula is built on basic wage. Choosing "Terminated for cause" sets the result to zero; resignation and contract completion both get the full amount in this tool. Your actual payout can differ, so confirm it with HR or MoHRE before relying on it.

Example: AED 12,000 basic, 7 years 6 months

Daily wage is 12,000 ÷ 30 = AED 400. The first five years give 5 × 21 × 400 = AED 42,000, and the remaining 2.5 years give 2.5 × 30 × 400 = AED 30,000, so the estimate is AED 72,000. For AED 8,000 basic and exactly 5 years, the result is AED 28,000.

How is UAE gratuity calculated here?

Daily wage is monthly basic divided by 30. You get 21 days of that wage for each of the first 5 years and 30 days for each year after, pro-rated for part years, and the total is capped at 24 months of basic salary.

Do allowances count?

No. Enter basic salary only. Housing, transport and other allowances are excluded from the formula the tool uses.

Do I get gratuity if I resign?

In this calculator, resigning gives the same full amount as completing a contract, as long as you have at least one year of service. If your employer applies deductions, ask them which rule they are using.

What if I worked less than a year?

The calculator shows no entitlement for service under one year.

When does the two-year cap apply?

Only after very long service. For example, with AED 10,000 basic, 25 years gives AED 235,000, still under the AED 240,000 cap; beyond that the result stops growing.

Is my salary stored online?

No. The calculation runs in your browser and your inputs are remembered only in its local storage on this device.
